Additional Information about Snapdragon

Snapdragon gets its name from the flowers resemblance to the face of a dragon that opens and closes when the flower is laterally squeezed. Plant is native to Europe, North American and North Africa. Plants survives well in cold seasons but are often replanted each spring and considered annual plants. Snapdragons perform well in full or partial sun and in well drained soil. Poor soil drainage can lead to root damage. Grows well during the months of April to June and August to October. Blooms come in a variety of colors; yellow, orange, red, purple, white and multi colors as well. Water once a week when soil is dry to the touch and fertilize once a month.
